The island is easily accessible from various boat ramps in the area. but, it is only accessible by boat. we typically launch from north causeway in new smyrna. it is a very busy park so please be patient with your fellow boaters. another good ramp is port orange causeway park from the boat ramp, it is a short leisurely ride north to the island.. Outside of the south harrington road site, the closest public access boat ramps are near gascoigne park on the frederica river and beneath the mackay river bridge on the f.j. torras causeway.. 3) boat ramp park (14 miles from daytona beach) 170 n causeway, new smyrna beach, florida near outriggers bar & grill boat ramp park is also very easy to get to from daytona beach. located less than a half mile from downtown new smyrna beach, boat ramp park is operated by the city of new smyrna beach..
